Hanna Barakat

Meet Hanna Barakat, an Associate Clinical Social Worker that joined the GrateFULL Mind Team in September 2022.

Hanna believes that therapy is about accompanying her clients on their journey, and guiding them to reach their fullest expression of self.

Hanna is adept at meeting her clients where they are, holding space for them, and encouraging their self-led growth. Hanna has worked in various settings and across different populations, including schools, community health, and private practice, and with communities impacted deeply by race-based and intergenerational trauma and immigrant and refugee communities. In addition to trauma work, Hanna specializes in working with clients with anxiety and depression.

As an Arab American, Hanna has a deep understanding of what it means to live a life of intersectionality and holds space for each individual clients' experience of the different cultures they identify with and navigate.

Hanna's approach is curious and relational, as she works to cultivate a warm and safe environment. Hanna is Bilingual in English and Arabic, she can offer therapy in the Arabic language.
